Warmachine Threesome

So I played my first game of Warmachine in about 4 months last night at [elg] and it turned into a three way fight between Khador, Khador and Skorne.  Now I have played the Khador player before on numerous occasions and in general he has handed me my ass on a small display plate every time.  Because the Skorne player only had the battle box we played an eleven point game.

The Forces:

Skorne:

Digby’s Khador:

My Khador:

So as you can see some varied forces, Digby was able to run a Vlad tier list and I was able to run Hark Tier 2.  This allowed me to gain +1 to my starting roll and have my upkeep spells running in turn one.

The game began normally enough with Drago and Vlad heading right towards the Skorne and the Kodiak running towards my Shock troopers.  Turn two saw drago engage the light warbeasts of Skorne doing enough damage to kill one, unfortunately for Drago the Skorne heavy charged in and smack him around until he was no more.

The other side of the board saw a slow advance from Hark and his army the Kodiak managed to get into combat with Black Ivan and did a large amount of damage but was unable to damage either of Ivan’s arms.  The game played with each side trading blows, it was not until Digby’s Kodiak was knocked over that Hark managed to charge in and do a lot of damage, and luckily he was able to get a critical that prevented the Kodiak venting steam the following turn.

It was at this point that the miracle of the game occurred, the last Man o War was in melee range with Vlad so he went for it, there was practically no chance of hitting the warcaster but it was worth a try.  The dice were rolled and produced the only result that could actually hit Vlad…… Double Six…..

So the Shock Trooper managed to do a couple of points of damage on Vlad but there was more shock to come, Black Ivan managed to waddle forward four inches with his wrecked movement and hit Vlad, then managed to roll triple six.  Vlads down and so is his battle group all that remains is the Skorne caster and he goes down to the combined attacks of Hark and Black Ivan.

So that was the first game of the night and the second game I switched out to Karchev the terrible, the man in the machine a caster that u had not used for over a year.  Unfortunately it would appear that I have no idea how to play him anymore as I was down and out in turn 3.
